[WEB SECURITY] twitter dos , anyone has details on how was it performed?

I would assume the site was flooded with traffic by a (quite large) botnet.

Given that Facebook & (I believe) LiveJournal were attacked at the
same time (with a somewhat lesser degree of success), the attackers
must have had an exceptionally large number of compromised hosts under
their command.
